Types and Representation of Annotations

FL-Annotations:

FL-Annotations are classifier decisions referring to elementary acoustic events: Each time a FLC detects an acoustic event, a FL-Annotation is created. FL-Annotations are stored in CSV-data tables (.csv) in the Annotations/FL-subfolder of a project. The annotations database interface provides tools to browse, search and filter FL-Annotations.

FL-Annotations have the following form: "Soundfile","Classifier","Similarity","Left Smp","Width Smp","Top Hz","Height Hz". Note that time is notated in samples (smp) not in ms.

SL-Annotations:

SL-Annotations are classifier decisions referring to complex acoustic events: Each time a SLC detects an acoustic event, a SL-Annotation is created. SL-Annotations are stored in CSV-data tables (.csv) in the Annotations/SL-subfolder of a project. The Annotations database interface provides tools to browse, search and filter SL-Annotations.

SL-Annotations have the following form: "Soundfile","Classifier","Similarity","Left Smp","Width Smp","Top Hz","Height Hz", "Constituents". Note that "Constituents" is a list of FL-Annotations for internal use only.
