Advanced Statistics


DSProlog provides the following tools to compile advanced statistics on sets of wave-files, classifiers and annotations. Best results are achieved with classifiers and annotations in the time-frequency domain.


Control Location Description
Main menu > Statistics FLC-Statistics: Wizard to compile statistics on sets of FLC. Result are data tables (.csv) containing distributions of the most important acoustic parameters. In addition, pictures are generated which show distributions and scatter plots (e.g. peak frequency vs. bandwidth).
Main menu > Statistics SLC-Statistics: Wizard to compile statistics on sets of SLC. Result are data tables (.csv) containing distributions of the most important acoustic parameters. In addition, pictures are generated which show distributions and scatter plots.
Main menu > Statistics FL-Annotations Statistics: Wizard to compile statistics on sets of FL-Annotations. Result are data tables (.csv) containing distributions of the most important acoustic parameters. In addition, pictures are generated which show distributions and scatter plots. Note that you can modify the search frame of the underlying FLC to include coefficients surrounding the annotation into the measurements!

Main menu > Statistics Recording Times Statistics: Wizard to compile statistics on sets of audio-files. Result are data tables (.csv) containing information about the files. In addition a picture is generated which shows the distribution of recording times in the chosen set of audio-files..
Main menu > Statistics Activity Statistics: Wizard to compile sound pressure level statistics on sets of audio-files. Result are data tables (.csv) containing information about the files.
Main menu > Statistics Noise Statistics: Wizard (German language only) to compile noise statistics on sets of audio-files. Result are data tables (.csv), LaTeX (.tex), text (.txt) and gnuplot (.plt) files containing information about noise levels in the selected audio files. Noise statistics can be used to evaluate environmental noise. For details see German language homepage.
