## Types of Visualizations

**Visualizations** are graphical representations of acoustic phenomena.
Currently, DSProlog supports the following types of visualizations:

- Three different color-coded time-energy graphs
- Standard DFT-spectrograms (sonograms)
- Multi-scale DFT-spectrograms
- Phase spectrograms

**1. Color-coded time-energy graphs**

**Oscillogram**: Positive and negative peak values of a signal - E avg. =
**Average sound pressure level diagram**: Averaged values of the sound pressure level of a signal - E max. =
**Maximum sound pressure level diagram**: Peak values of the sound pressure level of a signal

**2. Standard spectrograms**: Three-dimensional plot of the energy of the frequency content of a signal

**3. Multi-scale spectrograms**: Variable DFT parameters provide a better combined time-frequency resolution than the standard spectrogram:

**4. Phase spectrogram**: Displays the phase information of the spectrogram
